Overview

 

S&H Customer Service & Support Directorate is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in service applications and engineering design to fill the position of Project Engineer. The candidate will be primarily responsible for developing/providing solutions and layouts, cost estimates, and providing design and execution recommendations to the team as required. This position requires 2+ years of MHE field experience and a minimum of 3 years of engineering design.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Customer facing engineer that may also close the sales.
  • Review customer drawings/information to formulate solution.
  • Design system, or specific area of system as required to provide a solution that meets customer requirements in throughput and performance.
  • Provide specifications and pricing for equipment as needed.
  • Field site visits as needed with customers to review requirements for system application.
  • Document all communication for future reference.
  • Provide design layouts and drafting in AutoCad as needed.
  • Select and specify equipment and materials as needed.
  • Provide equipment and labor cost summaries for sales.
  • Assist in the development of engineering standards and practices.
  • Assist other department employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Requirements

  • Minimum: Technical degree required in an engineering field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • Experience with AutoCad.
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools.
  • 2+ years of field experience
  • Traveling 25-35% of the time
