Mechanical Technician 4 Support Services ( Team Lead)

Mechanical Technician 4 is a highly motivated individual that has specific MHE knowledge and experience with a wide range of OEM’s. They are primarily responsible for leading job crews, mentoring other Mechanical Techs, and assisting other trades as assigned. This position should have 6+ years of MHE or closely related field experience.

• Ability to manage a small job by planning daily work.
• Advanced reading and interpretation skills of engineered drawings.
• Communication skills are sufficient to work with customers and general contractors.
• Attend and participate in drawing reviews for project.
• Works closely with project manager on possible issues and schedule requirements.
• Promotes and sets an example for the company safety program.
• Documents and reports any inconsistencies in engineered drawings to Leadership for resolution to avoid delays with the project.
• Requests and documents all inspections, repair work, and equipment failures for company owned equipment.
• Attends on-site meetings with customer and/or General Contractor as needed to coordinate day to day site work.
• Effectively communicates and sets expectations with Mechanical Technicians to broadcast directives down to support Techs.
• Leads with a “hands on” approach to the work.
• Applies a wide range of skills and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to the needs of the project.
• Able to perform and teach.
• Competent with several types of conveyor product lines.
• Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools.
• Must be able to communicate with customers, relaying information collected during assessments.
• Work with Safety to ensure all safety documentation is properly filled out and returned in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Travel 50-70% of the time
• Punctuality and eagerness to work.
