We are looking for a candidate with experience in managing the commissioning and field wiring of low voltage/no voltage devices in material handling systems.
This department will be responsible for ensuring all field I/O and communication of field devices and system components are communicating properly and without fault. This function will need to be completed post-mechanical install of hardware, and prior to the controls engineering team beginning the logic testing of each system component.
This department will also be responsible (where applicable) for the field wiring effort of low voltage/no voltage components of a material handling system. This includes installing field devices per drawing specifications, and wiring of these devices to I/O blocks or terminals per customer specifications and standards.
This department will have to work closely with the electrical, mechanical, and controls teams onsite to ensure a safe and productive workspace.
This management role will oversee the workload and planning of multiple projects utilizing internal and external resources. The role is responsible for the execution of the planned work through the monitoring and testing of output and results.
As a manager, the development and growth of resources is also a key component of success. This is in the form of mentoring, feedback, and educational plans for each resource.
Management Qualifications:
Able to execute jobs on an as-needed basis based on resource constraints, or workload spike.
Controls Commissioning and Field Wiring Technician Department Functions:
Minimum Requirements (including years of experience)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Additional Notes: This position is critical to any project sucess.
The candidate must have the "get it done" mindset in order to meet project timeline expecations.
Looking for higher level of experience in terms of years, but all candidates will be considered given their history and specific project experience.
This is a player/coach role. Coaching is important, but when the need arises, must be able to execute the work as well.
